The check-in app that tells you Mom and Dad are okay.
Your mother or father taps “OK” once a day. If that doesn't happen, you get a message automatically. So you know everything is fine – and your parents keep their independence.
How the check-in app works
Set it up once, and the rest runs on its own.
Set it up on your parent's phone
On first launch, choose “for someone else” and add yourself as a contact. Every screen in the app is then worded for your mother or father.
Tap “OK” once a day
At a time that fits their routine – after breakfast, for example. One tap is all it takes.
No tap? You'll know.
After a grace period you set together, AliveGuard notifies you by email – and by SMS and WhatsApp with Premium.
Peace of mind without checking up
A daily “just checking” call can feel patronizing to many older people. A quick tap doesn't.
Independence comes first
No location tracking and no check-up calls. The app only knows whether the daily tap came.
Easy to use
One task a day, one button. Anyone who uses a smartphone for WhatsApp or photos will manage AliveGuard.
SOS at the push of a button
Anyone who needs help right away reaches all contacts with one tap – independently of the check-in time.
The whole family in the loop
With Premium, up to five contacts: siblings, grandchildren or a neighbor are notified together.
Check-in app or medical alert system?
AliveGuard is not an emergency call system and does not detect falls. The app does not call an ambulance – it notifies the people you entered. In an emergency, always call your local emergency number.
For people at high risk of falling or in need of care, a medical alert system with a device and a monitoring center is the better choice. AliveGuard suits parents who are still fit and independent, use their smartphone themselves – and whose family would still like a little more peace of mind.
Questions about the check-in app
Does my mother need a smartphone for this?
Yes. AliveGuard runs on iPhone and Android and has to be installed on the phone of the person who checks in each day. You don't need the app yourself – the alert reaches you by email, and with Premium also by SMS or WhatsApp.
How much does the app cost?
The app is free and includes one emergency contact, one daily check-in and unlimited email alerts. Premium extends this to up to five contacts, up to five check-in times a day, SMS and WhatsApp alerts. You'll see the price on the App Store or Google Play.
What happens if my father forgets to tap one day?
AliveGuard waits for the grace period you set and then notifies you. Usually a quick call is all it takes. You choose the time and the grace period together, so there is enough leeway when the day starts later.
Can the app see where my mother is?
No. AliveGuard does not collect location data or build movement profiles. The app only knows whether the daily check-in came.
Peace of mind – starting today.
AliveGuard is free on the App Store and Google Play and takes just a few minutes to set up on your parent's phone.
