What AliveGuard is not
AliveGuard is not an emergency call system. The app does not call an ambulance or the police – it notifies the people you entered yourself, and leaves the decision of what to do to them. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
Whether a notification arrives depends on things beyond our control: a charged phone that is switched on, a working internet connection, contacts who can be reached. AliveGuard is therefore no substitute for a personal alarm device or for medical care – and it assumes the person being protected can operate their phone themselves.
